Oscar de la Renta was one among fashion designers that I fell in love with. Over the years, when I first had my small boutique until when I became a fashion student, I admire every creation he had made. I do not know him in person, nor I ever buy his creation. Realistically speaking, it is the money and being an average Mortal that does belong to a higher place of Mortal world, the ‘where should I wear it to’ question often popped in the head. Nevertheless, Oscar and his flirty, ultra feminine, -made you feel like princess- creation is something that I always lay my eyes onto, and the fact that he had now passed away, has left me with a sad, longing almost weird feeling on an invisible grief about someone you don’t know but love.

I first fell in love with those amazing entrance-making evening dresses. Those extravagant, ‘look at me I am here’ dresses or massive ball gowns with luxurious materials and rich colors compliment with beautifully crafted embellishments or embroideries. Lavish and flawless, as I always murmured from time to time when I see his works. Over the years I fell in love with his other works too that does not scream princess or queens. I dedicated this post as a little tribute to this legendary fashion designer that had touches many people’s heart. Here are some of his works over the years (limited from four years ago) that had bring me joys personally and have made me more in love with fashion, in a creative way.
